Brentwood vs. Memphis University School Owls 3/27

The Bruins took their game on the road to Memphis over the weekend and finished with a win and a loss. Brentwood now has a record of 7-2 with five games remaining in the regular season.

Their first game on Saturday afternoon was against MUS. The Owls have appeared in seven of the last ten state championship games and have won four championships in this decade. Needless to say, they are a challenging competitor.

The Bruins stayed close for the first half, but could not keep pace as the game wore on with the intense speed of the Owls play. Brentwood fell in the end 10-3. The Bruins dropped to 1-1 in the conference, but still hold the number two seed for the playoffs, behind MUS.

Point leaders for the game were Ben Tarpley with 2 assists, and Patrick Gill with 2 goals. Jason Springer also chipped in 1 goal. Richard Alter won 5 of 9 face offs and Colin Hart caused 5 Owl turnovers. Preston Stapp had 8 saves.
